THIS SPREAD MADE ME WANT TO GET MY NAVEL PIERCED. Yes, I know I am TOO OLD (I'm 23) and yes, I know that they are TRASH-TASTIC, but let's also remember this. I am Anna-Christina. I am defined by questionable fashion choices (half-shaved head, hawaiian print, the list goes on). And I love a good challenge. So I accept the challenge of making the navel piercing look awesome, like this gorgy afro chick does.

So uh... I guess there's not really a moral dilemma but I'd still like to hear your thoughts! Not that it'll change my mind...

Do y'all recognize these clothes? You should. Because it's kind of straight from my wardrobe. That big chunky turquoise ring was a gift from my sister after our first (and only) fight, that chunky turquoise necklace can be seen here and here and was a birthday gift from my father years ago.

And I know y'all recognize my DIY Fuck Yeah, America shorts. Seeing as how they've now been immortalized on the tiny, tan body of a gorgeous model in the glossy pages of an excellent underground fashion mag-- I ought to pay them their due.

So there. Now you know all my secrets. And can I just say-- you see how easy it is? I know ALL of you bloggers have fabulous wardrobes. Get on craigslist and model mayhem, find yourself a makeup artist, a photographer and model. Go take photos. Submit to underground, submission-based fashion magazines. Boom. You're a published stylist. Quit sitting in front of the computer drooling over other's work and GO BE CREATIVE, GO COLLABORATE, GO CONTRIBUTE TO THE WORLD OF PRINT. I'm serious. It's that easy and there's so much young, untapped talent out there.

Florid Milagros

It is quite apparent that stiff couture, minimalism, high fashion, structure and classy editorials do not appeal to me.

I like some scandal, some trash, some tacky, some awesome.

You know what else I like? Florid prints, Mexico, leather, bralettes, ghetto hoop earrings, fluorescents, cross necklaces and dirty, hot nights.

New favorite editorial ever. Ironic because Isabel is quite possibly my polar opposite, yet I intend to dress like this all day erryday.



See these vintage Moschino pants (available here)? They were the inspiration for last year's Moschino collection, where they brought back the print pant with the awkward goose (see him printed on the pair in photo 3 and on these?) Moschino went back to their archives for that little guy and this vintage pair is from the collection that started it all. I swear if those pants were in my size (and in my price range), I'd snap them up. And that cross necklace is just awesome, available here.

I made that necklace! It's super soft black leather woven through a sterling silver chain with little daggers of smoky quartz hanging. I made it like a couple years ago and never wore it. Until now. And now I can be fierce Hawaiian hobo princess. Ha!

All from Dior s/s2011. Which didn't stir my loins a year ago, but now has them certifiably frothing. The colors, the necklaces, the polish. I will be recreating all of this on the cheap in the coming (winter, HA!) months. Since I have to pinpoint an item of lusty wantmanship in the spirit of Wishlist Wednesday, and I cannot just say "everything about Dior s/s 2011", I guess I'll have to pick the nail polish. Le sigh.
